Q. Do you service Evinrude E-Tec?
A. Yes, but we highly recommend calling our store if you are thinking about bringing in any Evinrude-Johnson™, Evinrude E-Tec™, or older Johnson™ outboard engines due to limited parts availability and limited support from the manufacturer.
Q. Do you carry bilge pumps, trailer tires, etc.?
A. Yes! We carry a range of trailer parts, marine supplies, and boating gear in store. Replacement parts for most common fishing boats are available. Give us a call or send us an email with what you're looking for or drop by during store hourd and we will be happy to assist you with finding the right parts, kits, etc. for your outboard and boat model.
We also process MagicTilt™ trailer builds, Continental™ trailer builds, and supply Interstate
Q. Do I need an appointment?
A. No appointment is necessary, though we do appreciate if you call ahead so we can prepare for your arrival and save your time if we cannot accomodate you.
Q. Do you diagnose performance issues?
A. Yes, we will diagnose, repair, and test (on the water) to ensure that your performance issues are adequately addressed and your outboard is functioning at peak condition when we hand your boat back over. We will perform engine service and diagnostics - everything short of rebuilds.
Q. How Much Does Labor Cost?
A. Labor cost is $150/hour. This does not include the cost of supplies, such as replacement screws, towels, lubricant, etc. that is covered in a small, separate shop fee itemized on your service ticket.
Q. What Outboard Engines Do You Service / Repair?
A. We offer certified and authorized repair / service for Evinrude-Johnson™ and Mercury™ outboard engines, including warranty service when applicable for Mercury™ engines.
Our technicians can only provide an accurate estimate after assessing your rigging and diagnosing the probably cause of your engine problems.
Q. Do you sell outboard engines?
A. Beck's Outboard Inc. is an authorized Mercury™ sales and service location and we primarily function as repower location. We typically keep a small stock of portable Mercury™ engines on display at our location (under 30HP), however, we are happy to order any Mercury™ model, horsepower, etc. to your specifications.
Q. What is your labor rate?
A. Our labor rate has been updated as of 2025 to $150/hr and a small, shop fee is applied to every service ticket to cover the cost of general shop supplies (towels, straps, storage, etc.), less than 10% of the total.

Q. Do you sell parts / kits?
A. We have a variety of Mercury™ and Evinrude-Johnson™ parts and kits available at our location. For ordering parts, please have your model info, year, and part # handy. We cannot be held responsible for misordered / misidentified parts or parts that are incompatible with your engine due to part number or model compatibility erorrs. Parts and kits may not be covered under warranty. If you have any questions regarding the viability of the part requested, preference for OEM, etc. please let us know at time of purchase.
